Is there one API for Claude, GPT, DeepSeek and Qwen?
Last updated by the APIClaw team
Yes. APIClaw gives you one API key and one OpenAI-compatible base URL, https://apiclaw.biz/v1, for Claude, GPT, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi and GLM. You switch models by changing the model field. Plans run from $19 to $129 a month for a daily request quota, with no per-token bill.
One client, many models
Most teams end up with a key per vendor: one for Claude, one for GPT, one for DeepSeek, one for Qwen. Each has its own billing page, rate limits and SDK quirks. A gateway removes that. You keep a single client, point it at one base URL, and pick the model with the model field in each request.
APIClaw is that gateway. Its OpenAI-compatible endpoint is https://apiclaw.biz/v1. The model families it markets are Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi, GLM, Mistral, Llama, Cohere and Grok. The model hub shows what is live right now, with the current weight of each model.
Model IDs and request weights
Plans count requests, and each model has a weight: how many requests one call uses from your daily quota. These are the model IDs referenced in the APIClaw guides:
| Model ID | Family | Request weight |
|---|---|---|
| claude-fable-5-1 | Claude | 3 |
| claude-opus-5-5 | Claude | 3 |
| claude-sonnet-5-5 | Claude | 2 |
| gpt-6-sol | GPT | 3 |
| deepseek-v4-pro | DeepSeek | 1 |
| deepseek-v4-flash | DeepSeek | 1 |
| glm-5.3 | GLM | 2 |
| glm-5.3-flash | GLM | 2 |
| kimi-k3 | Kimi | 2 |
| qwen3.8-max | Qwen | 2 |
| qwen3.8-flash | Qwen | 2 |
In Cursor, model IDs take the apiclaw/ prefix, for example apiclaw/claude-sonnet-5-5. Everywhere else, use the ID exactly as shown. The hub is the source of truth if a model is added, renamed or paused. For the open-weight families in more detail, see the DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi and GLM API guide.
Switch models by changing one field
With the OpenAI Python SDK, the same client calls every family:
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(base_url="https://apiclaw.biz/v1", api_key="sk-your-apiclaw-key")
for model in ["claude-sonnet-5-5", "gpt-6-sol", "deepseek-v4-flash", "qwen3.8-max"]:
reply = client.chat.completions.create(
model=model,
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Name one sorting algorithm."}],
)
print(model, reply.choices[0].message.content)The same request works in curl, which is useful for a quick test:
curl https://apiclaw.biz/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk-your-apiclaw-key" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"model": "deepseek-v4-pro", "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Hello"}]}'For a broader look at how the endpoint behaves, see the flat-rate OpenAI-compatible API guide.
Which base URL for which client
| Client type | Base URL |
|---|---|
| OpenAI SDKs, Chat Completions, Responses | https://apiclaw.biz/v1 |
| Anthropic Messages clients such as Claude Code | https://apiclaw.biz (no /v1) |
| Cursor agent mode | https://apiclaw.biz/cursor |
The same key works with all three. Claude Code reads it from ~/.claude/settings.json, where you set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL, ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN and ANTHROPIC_MODEL; the Claude Code setup guide has the full file. Cursor takes the key in Settings, then Models, and the Cursor setup guide covers the custom model entry. The documentation index lists other tools.
Using different models for different jobs
One key makes it practical to match the model to the task instead of paying top rates for everything. A common pattern is to send design work and hard debugging to claude-opus-5-5 or claude-sonnet-5-5, bulk edits and test scaffolding to deepseek-v4-flash, and long-document or multilingual work to a Qwen or Kimi model. Because the weight is part of the model, the cheap choice is also visible in your quota: a weight-1 model uses half as much of the day's allowance as Claude Sonnet 5.5.
You can also compare answers across families with the same prompt by looping over model IDs, as in the Python example, which is a fast way to choose a default for your project.
Why a single key is easier to run
With one key there is one credential to store, one plan to manage and one payment to track, instead of a separate account per vendor. Configuration files in your repositories stay short: a base URL and a model name, with the key coming from an environment variable such as APICLAW_API_KEY.
It also protects you from lock-in at the model level. When a better model appears, you change a string in your config rather than rewriting an integration. If one family is slow or unsuitable for a task, you try another with the same code. The abstraction is the OpenAI-compatible format, which most tools already support, so the switching cost stays low.
Adding a fallback in your own code
APIClaw does not choose a model for you. If you want a fallback, for example from claude-sonnet-5-5 to deepseek-v4-pro when a call fails, write it in your client. Because both models share one key and one URL, the fallback is a loop over model IDs with a try and except block, as little as a few lines. Keep weights in mind: falling back from a weight-3 model to a weight-1 model also saves quota.
How the quota works across models
All models draw from one daily request quota, which resets at 00:00 UTC. A call to claude-sonnet-5-5 uses 2 requests and a call to deepseek-v4-flash uses 1. On the $19 Plus plan (500 requests a day) that is 250 Sonnet calls, or 500 DeepSeek V4 Flash calls, or any mix that adds up to 500.
| Plan | Price a month | Requests a day |
|---|---|---|
| Plus | $19 | 500 |
| Pro | $39 | 1,000 |
| Max | $59 | 1,500 |
| Ultimate | $69 | 3,000 |
| Ultimate Plus | $89 | 4,000 |
| Ultimate Pro | $99 | 6,000 |
| Ultimate Max | $129 | 8,000 |
There is no 5-hour window, no weekly cap and no per-token billing. APIClaw adds no cap on tokens per request beyond the model's own limit, and models have up to 1M-token context. Cycles are 30 days and you can cancel any time. Above 8,000 requests a day, ask for a custom plan on Telegram support.
Picking a default model
If you are unsure where to start, begin with claude-sonnet-5-5 as the default for coding and general work, since it balances capability against a weight of 2. Move easy, high-volume tasks to deepseek-v4-flash at weight 1. Reach for claude-opus-5-5 or gpt-6-sol, both weight 3, when a task justifies the extra quota. Test a few prompts from your real project on each, because the best choice depends on your code and your language more than on any general ranking.
Limits and honest trade-offs
A daily quota is still a limit. When it is spent, requests are refused until 00:00 UTC. At low volume, a few dozen modest calls a day, per-token billing is often cheaper than $19 a month, and a router with a very large catalog may suit you better if you need niche models. The OpenRouter alternative guide compares the two approaches.
APIClaw is an independent gateway, not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or Cursor. It routes requests to models available through publicly available sources and provider APIs. Payment is by crypto through NOWPayments, with no card.

Frequently asked questions
Can one key really call Claude, GPT, DeepSeek and Qwen?
Yes. One APIClaw key works for every model on the platform. You choose the model with the model field, such as claude-sonnet-5-5, gpt-6-sol, deepseek-v4-flash or qwen3.8-max.
Do I need a different base URL for each model?
No. OpenAI-style clients use https://apiclaw.biz/v1 for every model. Anthropic Messages clients such as Claude Code use https://apiclaw.biz, and Cursor agent mode uses https://apiclaw.biz/cursor.
Do all models cost the same amount of quota?
No. Each model has a request weight: DeepSeek V4 models count as 1, Claude Sonnet 5.5, GLM, Kimi and Qwen models count as 2, and Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Sol count as 3.
Where can I see which models are available?
The model hub lists the live models and their weights. Check it before hard-coding an ID, since models can be added, renamed or paused.
Open the model hubWhat model ID do I use in Cursor?
Use the apiclaw/ prefix, for example apiclaw/claude-sonnet-5-5, and set the OpenAI base URL to https://apiclaw.biz/v1. Turn Auto off so Cursor uses your custom model.
